Wish List boutique to host Meet and Greet for a budding entrepreneur and a young author

(Biloxi, MS) – Two Mississippi Gulf Coast girls will be featured guests at a Meet and Greet event hosted by Wish List, a clothing/toy boutique located in the Gulfport Premium Outlets mall in Gulfport.

The event is Saturday, March 6, from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. and will feature eight-year-old Mississippi Gulf Coast author Purpose Copeland and 10-year-old baker Langston Duncan. Along with Wish List, other sponsors include Black Authors Rock, CDM, Duncan Cookie Company, and GirlMeetKitchen.

Purpose Copeland recently launched her debut publication,” Manners My Grandma Taught Me,” a book offering heartwarming lessons about manners, faith, self-love, kindness, and respect that were handed down to the young writer from her grandmother.

The young writer’s book was the result of her struggle to embrace reading aloud.

Langston Duncan is the owner of Duncan Cookie Co. She launched the business during the pandemic after she took up baking to combat boredom. When Langston’s stepmother shared pictures of her cookies on social media, it generated so much interest and excitement that they decided to create a business.

“We want everyone to come out and meet these dynamic and talented young ladies,” said LaTracey Drux, Purpose Copeland’s mother. “Let’s celebrate them not only doing something creative and positive but also learning to follow your dreams. We hope to see everyone there.”
