B.A.R. Arts Collective announces ribbon-cutting ceremony for new book store

New business to be housed at the Mary C. O’Keefe Cultural Center in Ocean Springs


(OCEAN SPRINGS, MS) – The MS Gulf Coast Chamber of Commerce will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the B.A.R. Arts Collective book store, a multicultural extension of the Black Authors Rock brand. The ceremony will take place on Thursday, June 10, at 12:30 p.m. at the Mary C. O’Keefe Cultural Center in Ocean Springs, MS. The public is invited to attend.


Dr. LaTracey Drux, store owner, said the B.A.R. Arts Collective is a multicultural expansion of the Black Authors Rock brand. Black Authors Rock is a global networking, training, and mentorship organization for black authors.


“We are elated to be joining the business community in the Ocean Springs community,” Drux said. “We are inviting the community to come out and support us as we elevate local writers and artists and promote inclusion and diversity along the MS Gulf Coast.”
