(OCEAN SPRINGS, MS) – B.A.R. Arts Collective, a multicultural extension of the Black Authors Rock brand, will host a Books & Brunch event on Saturday, June 12, 2021, from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.
The event, held at the Mary C. O’Keefe Cultural Center in Ocean Springs, MS, is the new organization’s introduction to the MS Gulf Coast community.
Dr. LaTracey, the event organizer, said the B.A.R. Arts Collective is a multicultural expansion of the Black Authors Rock brand. Black Authors Rock is a global networking, training, and mentorship organization for black authors.
“We are taking measures to support the local artistic community and help it to thrive and become more diverse and multicultural,” Dr. LaTracey said. “The B.A.R. Collective is for the upper echelon of the artist industry as an elite and a cultured class of individuals, inclusive of variations of the arts, entrepreneurship, and consultation. We’re inviting everyone to come out and support this endeavor.”
Dr. LaTracey, the founder of the Black Authors Rock networking, training, and mentorship organization, said as part of the event, attendees will have an opportunity to network, enjoy brunch, mimosas, and shop for books from featured authors who are a part of Black Authors Rock. The event will also include live music, a silent auction, and giveaways. Tickets are on sale until June 11 at $25 general admission and $35 VIP.
